Dollish Polish

I finally got my Dollish Polish [my first order] in!! & I FINALLY got to try one out! Working 2 jobs has cut into my nail time ;) BUT I'm off today, so I get to do my blog, paint my nails, and be lazyyyy :) Cooked my boyfriend breakfast before some of his tests at college and made me some breakfast and ate outside by the pool...ahhh :)

Anyways - to the polish!! :)

This is Dollish Polish 'Putting on the Ritzzz!' A black and white matte glitter combo. The black glitter is tiny with mixed sizes of white hex glitters. I have seen it tried over pinks and pale turquoise [like 'For Audrey' by China Glaze'] so I wanted to try it over a purple blue and a bright teal, to have a different look.
'Does Barry Manilow know you raid his closet' & 'Putting on the Ritzzz!'

with flash indoors. I put POTR over Wet `n' Wild Megalast 'On a Trip'

                                                      with flash by window. daytime.

I wish you could see these beauties in person. Dolly's shop is currently closed, but you can hit the button to be notified when she opens back up :) Click here.

Sorry for the quick blog. I'm not off work much, so I have to get a lot done!! Hope you go buy this polish and lots of other polishes by Dolly. She makes such great stuff!!!

Whimsicallllllllll!!!

I have been looking and looking and LOOKING for Revlon 'Whimsical' [a great dupe for Deborah Lippman's 'Glitter in the Air'] and the sweeeeet Marisa mailed it to me! [to see her blog, click here. :) ]

I checked the mailbox yesterday and there it was!!! Along with a sweet note from Marisa. I'm so excited. I brought it and a base color to work today to paint my nails...I would've done it last night, but after cooking supper then cleaning up then getting the layers of glitter off my nails I passed smooth out :)

Below are what base I used, as well as a basae coat and top coat :)

I am in awe of the beautiful, blue, milky color, with light pink & light blue hex glitters, as well as tiny silver glitter all throughout it :)

Most people have found this polish at drug stores, beauty supplies, and ULTA....I couldn't find it at any however. Thanks so much Marisa!!!!

Zoya

Last week, I took advantage of the Zoya.com buy 3, get 3 free offer.

I ordered Kiki, Lael, Zara, Julieanne, Chloe, and Lotus. 4 out of my 6 were shades of purple. It was unintentional, because I've never been a purple person..Zoya just has so many beautiful colors to pick from..the purples are gorgous.

Today, when I got off at my 1st job, I tried out "Lael." It's VERY messy application, for me anyways. It's a beautiful deep purple, more of a color for winter, but lovely nonetheless :) It was semi patchy and took 2 coats to not just look like I had grape jelly rubbed on my nails. :)

Below are the pictures of "Lael"..in my room only. It's still very stormy here so I can't get a good natural light picture.

After I painted my nails, I decided to try out the Fleck Effects polish, "Chloe"..a gorgeous pink base flakies jelly.

^^ Natural Light (cloudy day)^^

^^ with flash, outside^^

I'm not sure how I feel about the flecks on the purple..I guess maybe I don't like the orange and green against the dark purple base.

I'm going to swatch the other 4 colors I have left when I get off work in a little, as well as a couple polishes I picked up the other day from ULTA :] 'I Don't Give a Rotterdam" and "Pedal Faster Suzi". I also picked up "Marshmallow" by Essie, but it's a white so there's nothing worth blogging about on it :) And I also picked up OPI's "Stranger Tides", but I want to wait to use it until I can snag up Dollish Polish's "Zombie Flesh" - it's a murky light green with black 'spots' lol. I can't wait to swatch and show you it. Super cool color. :) My Dollish order should be coming in this week - STOKED! :)

Happy nailing! <3

Holo Love :)

    Hey guys!

I've been wanting some holo polishes so bad the past few months. I can't find any locally so, thanks to my nail polish pen pals, I finally got some! :))

The first I got was from a polish pen pal in the UK,Emma, it was Nubar 'Reclaim.' I've had my eye on Nubar holo polishes for months..I'm so excited to finally get one. You can see her blog here. :)

The other holo's I got were from another polish pal, from Rhode Island. Both were Color Club holo, the purple is 'Wild at Heart' & the other is 'Fashion Addict.' They're both so beautiful I just don't know which one I like more <3

Left: 'Fashion Addict' & Right: 'Wild at Heart'

                         ^^^ 'Wild at Heart'^^^
This is with flash. It's been rainy lately & I can't get one outside with sunlight :(

and here is the other awesome one :)

                       ^^^ 'Fashion Addict' ^^^
This is also just with the flash from my iphone..stupid rainy days.

There are 2 more Color Club holos I have my eye on & ordered this weekend, so I hope to get them soon. 'Worth the Risque' and 'Revvolution.' I'll swatch them when I do :)

Hope this made you love holos, if you didn't already :)

If you are interested in the Color Clubs, they are avaliable here. :]

Intro!

I have been asked to do a nail blog..so I figured I could do this at my 2nd job & on the weekends. I have recently purchased some ETSY homemade polishes and will be doing reviews on them.
I ordered Dollish Polish "Putting on the Ritzzz!" and "Does Barry Manilow know you raid his wardrobe?" - both gorgeous black and white glitter style polishes. Her facebook page can be found here. And her etsy shop, which is closed at the moment can be found here
                                           ^^ Here's a pic of the 2 I ordered I can't wait! ^^

I also ordered from Haze Glaze's shop, a blue jelly with silver hex glitters and regular glitters named "Mystique", after the blue character from X-Men. And a mauve pink base coat with silver, pink and turquoise glitters. You can check out her facebook page here. & her ETSY shop can be found here. She's from Texas, just like me; I'm excited to support this girl :) I'm SO excited about those two polishes too.
                                                 ^^^^  Here's the 2 polishes I got  ^^^^ :)

I also plan on buying from Nerd Lacquer's Etsy shop, her shop is closed right now, but it can be found here.
If/when these ETSY shops are closed at the bottom of their page you can select to be notified when they reopen :)) How cool is that?

I also took advantage of the Zoya.com buy 3, get 3 free sale last week and ordered 6 polishes. I have never used Zoya polish, but I've heard good things! I ordered Kiki (a bright magenta, from how the swatch on the website looks), Lael (a deep plum), Zara (a light purple with golden iridescent flakes), Julieanne (a dark purple with silver flakes-as far as I can tell in the swatch), Chloe (from their fleck effect collection...it's a sheer light pink with iridescent flakes), and Lotus (a royal purple). I can't wait to swatch these beauties :)
                           Below is my Zoya invoice:
